Student Assistance Program

Des Moines Public Schools has partnered with Mosaic Family Counseling Center to provide FREE, CONFIDENTIAL services to children and families who are in need of behavioral health services. This could include bullying, feelings of anxiety and depression, relational issues and family stress, difficulty concentrating, aggressive behavior, grief and loss, trauma and other areas of concern.

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is designed to be a no cost, rapid response intervention for students and their families to have better success in school. SAP services are meant to break the barriers of receiving services, so there are many ways to be involved. None of your information will be shared without a release of information, that is the law.

Mosaic staff are available in person at your child’s school, in their office, by phone or through tele-health services (a simple computer connection). Typically our services through SAP will last 3 to 5 contacts. After that initial time, if you still desire assistance, Mosaic can help with that transition in services.
