Listed below are some of the health care resources available to DMPS families and students. This is not a complete list, just a starting point.
| DMPS School-Based Health Clinics | DMPS houses two school-based health clinics located at Hoover High School and the Kurtz Opportunity Center, along with a dental clinic at Kurtz. These clinics provide health-related services for all students at Des Moines Public Schools. Please see the information on the website for more details, including how to make an appointment. |
| EveryStep | EveryStep Programs include hospice, community health, home care, and care & support for the elderly, expecting mothers, infants and children. |
| Primary Health Care | Based on the needs of the communities they serve, PHC offers a spectrum of medical and dental services including family practice, behavioral health, HIV care and services, and pharmacy. |
| DMPS Health Screenings | DMPS offers limited screenings for height & weight, vision, hearing, and dental wellness. Contact Nurse Jenny for more information about McKinley’s screenings. |
