Welcome, Mrs. Grady!
Dear McKinley Staff, Parents and Families,
It is with great pleasure that I announce Sarah Grady as the new Principal at McKinley Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year. Mrs. Grady is the current Dean of Students at Stowe Elementary in Des Moines.
Mrs. Grady started her career at River Woods Elementary and has also taught at Edmunds and Samuelson Elementary schools. She served as an Instructional Coach for three years at Hanawalt Elementary prior to her position at Stowe. Mrs. Grady takes over for Ms. Brass who retired this year.
We have collected feedback from staff and families during this process to assist in a smooth transition. We will schedule time for Mrs. Grady to visit McKinley and meet students, staff and families. More communication on dates and times will be provided.
I know you will join me in welcoming Sarah Grady to the McKinley community.
